Collagen - what is it and what role does it play?

Collagen - is one of the most important proteins found in the human body. It is present in almost all human tissues. It is an essential building block of skin, tendons, bones, joints, cornea of the eye, among others. It is responsible for the production of joint lubricant and the elasticity and hardness of cartilage, skin hydration and proper epidermal renewal. It influences the cohesiveness, strength and elasticity of connective tissue. It also has an exceptional water-binding capacity, so the skin maintains proper firmness, elasticity and tone. After the age of 26, the amount of collagen fibers naturally decreases, and the body loses the ability to rebuild them. Increased physical activity further intensifies the process of collagen loss, so it is very important to have an adequate supply of collagen in the diet of people who regularly train. In dietary supplements we can find mainly two forms of it - collagen of bovine origin or just collagen extracted from the skins of sea fish.

Composition and application

Ingredients: Fish collagen peptides (hydrolyzed), capsule shell (gelatin, purified water), anti-caking agent: magnesium salts of fatty acids.

Product may contain milk (including lactose), soybeans, peanuts, other nuts, sesame seeds, cereals containing gluten, eggs, shellfish, fish.

Suggested Usage: Consume 1 serving (2 capsules) daily.
