    Dong quai

    Angelica (Dong Quai) is a medicinal plant, about two meters high, with large inflorescences of small flowers in the form of umbrellas of white or yellow-green color and large carved figured leaves arranged alternately. Angelica has a well-developed root system. It consists of a fleshy thick rhizome with multiple small roots. The stem is erect, and hollow inside. The native land of the plant is considered to be the north of Europe, Asia.

    Angelica is cultivated in various countries. 

    There are two types of plants: angelica officinalis and angelica silvestris. A significant difference between related plants in the shape of the inflorescences. The inflorescence of angelica silvestris has a shield-shaped shape, with a facet in the upper part of the stem. The inflorescence of angelica officinalis resembles a ball.
