Description

This is a complex of acids (EFA) that are found in fish such as salmon, mackerel or sardines. It is an important acid because it is not synthesized in the body and must be supplied through food. The fatty acids found in fish consist of EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid), both of which are long-chain fatty acids. When these acids are combined, EPA and DHA contribute to normal heart function. DHA also helps maintain brain activity and improve vision. These beneficial effects are achieved with a daily intake of 250 mg of EPA and DHA. Essential Omega-3 capsules provide 360 mg of EPA and 240 mg of DHA per two capsules.
