L-Proline is not an essential amino acid. In other words, it can be synthesized in our body from the products we use. It is especially well synthesized from glutamic acid. However, if there is evidence of a disturbance of its synthesis, proline should be used as part of biologically active additives.
L-proline is responsible for the synthesis of collagen, and therefore can affect the improvement of the skin: it becomes firmer and younger. It will be useful for women and men after the age of 30 to monitor the sufficient amount of this amino acid in their body to prevent and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. This component of the protein actively participates in the restoration of all tissues and helps heal wounds, burns and various types of injuries. This amino acid is also useful for the prevention of heart diseases, as it makes our arteries stronger.
The benefits of L-proline:
- detoxifies the body;
- improves metabolism;
- participates in the synthesis of thyroid and adrenal hormones;
- participates in the formation of collagen and elastin;
- promotes the restoration of skin and bone tissue;
- improves the work of the entire GI tract.
