    Essential amino acids

    Essential amino acids

Almost all the tissues of our body are built from amino acids. In addition, hormones and enzymes are formed from them. At the same time, the most significant and valuable among them are essential, i.e. not synthesized by the body amino acids.

The lack of any of them provokes a number of unpleasant consequences, which is especially important for athletes who constantly need them. Fortunately, you can always use special complexes based on essential amino acids to quickly provide the muscles with valuable nutrients in conditions when it is especially necessary, for example, after a workout. This prevents muscle breakdown and provides them with building material in a timely manner. Essential amino acids picture

The importance of essential amino acids

In order for muscles to grow and not break down after training, they need protein. We get it from regular food or from sports nutrition, for example, from protein. Proteins, which promote muscle growth, are synthesized from certain amino acids.

There are only 22 amino acids that are involved in the formation of muscle protein and only 8 of them are essential for an adult: lysine, methionine, threonine, tryptophan, and phenylalanine, as well as BCAA amino acids: valine, isoleucine, and leucine.

From the entire list of the amino acids, these essential amino acids play a special role, since they cannot be formed in our body and must enter it from food or other sources.

It is not always possible to get enough of them from food, especially if you are an athlete. During strenuous training, their reserves are constantly consumed. In this situation, amino acid complexes based on essential amino acids are a good option.

These complexes quickly supply the muscles with essential amino acids, preventing them from breaking down and helping them grow. Especially effective is their consumption after exercise when the body needs a timely influx of amino acids.
