    ERYTHRITOL: INDICATIONS AND CONTRAINDICATIONS

This sweetener is produced by fermentation of natural sugars extracted in certain fruits. Most often it is obtained from corn cobs, pears, and watermelons. The sweetener differs in that it comes from sugar alcohols, which do not cause a surge of insulin in the human body and are harmless in diabetes.

After the erythritol passes through the digestive tract and bloodstream, it is excreted from the body in the urine almost unchanged. The main advantage for athletes is that it can be used with strict diets, which is facilitated by the nutritional value and proteins (0), fats (0), and Erythritol picture carbohydrates (0.2).
