In folk medicine, the dandelion, which has been awarded several names, helps to cleanse the body, has a tonic effect on the liver and stimulates digestion, and provides excellent support for metabolism.

Dandelion has long been valued for its great healing effects. He is the symbol of the true tenacity of nature. The botanical name "Taraxacum officinale" dandelion speaks for itself. 'Taraxacum' comes from the Greek and means 'anti-inflammatory', and 'officinale' refers to the common name of a medicinal plant. Just as a good child has several names, the dandelion has been given many other names, such as butter rose, butter jug, pig blossom, milk shark, milk flower, yellow flower, etc.

In Estonian folk medicine, dandelion is called the elixir of life because it cleanses the body of waste products and negative energies. Due to its cleansing effect, dandelion is also called a blood purifier, liver regulator and fatigue remover.

The bitter nature of the dandelion and the roots of the dandelion are extremely useful for the body, stimulating the activity of the stomach and digestive glands, thus promoting the digestion of food. Dandelion surpasses any vegetable in the richness of its nutrients. The plant contains, for example, various acids necessary for the body (eg amino and fatty acids), sugars (eg inulin - the breakdown of inulin in the gut produces fructose, which is the sweetest natural sugar), minerals such as iron, zinc, boron, calcium, silicon, especially potassium. The roots contain many beneficial substances that have a general strengthening effect on the body, such as 10% glycoside taraxacin, up to 15% protein, inulin, bitter substances, unsaturated acids.

Composition and application
