Ashwagandha, or stunning cheese berry (Withania somnifera), is a perennial shrub of the Solanaceae family with pungent yellow-green flowers and a red berry. The plant is widespread from southern Europe to India, as well as in Africa. Ashwagandha, often known as Indian ginseng, is an important component of Ayurvedic medicine in traditional Indian medicine, as it has long been valued for its hypnotic, sedative and antiseptic properties. Dried roots and leaves are mainly used as a drug. The root is used as a general tonic and adaptogenic agent, as it has both antioxidant activity and contributes to physical and emotional balance and general well-being. In addition, the cheese berry is also used as a means of promoting sleep, reducing anxiety and stress and stimulating urinary excretion.

    Ashwagandha is suitable for use:

    • For a person whose lifestyle is stressful and wants to get natural help
    • A person who has trouble falling asleep
    • For a person who feels the need for physical and emotional balance
