Description

Hericium erinaceus is a large white shaggy mushroom, which is also known as "bearded hedgehog", "lion's mane", "yamabushitake" and "hedgehog mushroom". As it grows, it becomes similar to a lion's mane and is widely used in cooking and medicine, because it contains many biologically active substances that have a beneficial effect on the body (especially on the brain, intestines and heart).

When it comes to the nutritional value of the crested hedgehog, it is worth saying that this mushroom, just like other types of mushrooms, is rich in minerals. The results of some studies have shown that hericium erinaceus extract contains components that have anticarcinogenic, anitibiotical and, possibly, anti-aging effects.
