The ICONFIT Steviaga sugar substitute is a calorie-free alternative to regular white sugar produced in Estonia. It looks and is about as sweet as regular sugar, but gives it sweetness without the extra calories. It consists of natural erythritol (found in, for example, pears, watermelons, grapes) and healthy Stevia plant extract.
Stevija
The steviol glycoside produced by the Stevia plant is the most popular healthy calorie-free sugar substitute in the world. This plant originated in South America, where its sweet properties have been used for more than 1,500 years. Because Stevia plant extract is almost 300 times sweeter than regular sugar, it cannot be used at home in a completely undiluted form. Therefore, it works well in combination with natural erythritol.
Erythritol
Natural erythritol is found, for example, in pears, watermelons, and grapes, and in small crystalline pieces, it looks like ordinary white table sugar. However, in terms of sweetness, it is less sweet, so as a natural combination it is very suitable with stevia extract to replace sugar. Erythritol also has no calories and since it does not raise blood sugar, it is suitable even for diabetics.
Use
Use the ICONFIT Stevia sugar substitute as regular white sugar - add a little coffee / tea, make less sweet food tastier and use them in a variety of pastries as a calorie-free alternative.
Packaging
Packed in an environmentally friendly and airtight cardboard container - without a plastic bag! The container is initially sealed with a thin foil and can be conveniently closed with a cardboard lid when opened.
