Methylfolate is a biologically active, naturally occurring form of folate that plays an important role in normal cell division, neurotransmitter synthesis, and DNA synthesis. Unlike regular folic acid, methylfolate has been shown to cross the blood-brain barrier and support nervous system health. Quatrefolic is a patented form of methylfolate that is more bioavailable than folic acid found in food sources.
