NOW Folic Acid - dietary supplement contains folic acid.
Folic Acid is very important member of the B-vitamin family required for DNA synthesis and genetic repair, making an adequate supply essential for rapidly dividing cells, such as red blood cells. Folic acid is also necessary for the synthesis of methionine from homocysteine and can help to contribute to the healthy function of both the cardiovascular and nervous system.

Folic acid (vitamin B9) is a water-soluble B-group vitamin, synthesized by the human body, but in insufficient concentration. Its deficiency leads to many negative processes and diseases: anemia, cognitive impairment, distraction, memory impairment, constant fatigue, anxiety, problems with the gastrointestinal tract, infertility.
Therefore, the human body needs an additional source of vitamin B9, which has various beneficial properties:

positive effect on the composition and quality of blood, as it improves the production of red blood cells (red blood cells);
normalizes bowel function and liver health;
supports the immune system;
lowers cholesterol levels;
removes toxic substances from the body;
normalizes hemoglobin levels;
positively affects the functioning of the mental and nervous system.

Folic acid is also called the “good mood vitamin” because it promotes the production of serotonin (the hormone of happiness), which increases a person's mood.
With a high concentration of folic acid in the blood, the level of cyanocobolamine (vitamin B12) decreases, which plays an important role in the formation of human DNA and RNA and the normalization of hematopoiesis.
Therefore, this supplement contains both vitamins, which are ideally combined and complementary to each other.
