NOW® Evening Primrose Oil contains natural gamma-linolenic acid (GLA). GLA is an omega-6 fatty acid found in primrose, borage and black currant seed oils. Although the body can synthesize GLA from other dietary fats, it can be more effectively used for body functions when consumed in its preformed state. By supporting healthy immune system responses, GLA can help support normal skin barrier function as well as a healthy vascular system. It can also be used as nutritional support for mild discomfort associated with PMS syndrome.
