What is quercetin?

Quercetin is a natural substance that belongs to the group of flavonoids. Like other bioflavonoids, quercetin has strong antioxidant properties. Antioxidants are paramount to maintaining overall health due to their ability to fight free radicals in the body. It is believed that quercetin has anti-ageing properties, reduces inflammation, promotes overall health, and prevents and eliminates allergic reactions.

Quercetin is also considered a neuroactive substance that has similar properties to caffeine. Quercetin may help improve athletic performance, prevent fatigue, shorten recovery time, and have beneficial effects on bone health and immunity.
