What is fish oil omega-3-6-9 and what is it used for?

Omega-3-6-9 fatty acids, derived from cod liver oil and flaxseed oil can reduce cholesterol and triglycerides. They can also prevent blood clotting and are the main structural material of the nervous system and brain cells.

Moreover, cod liver oil is known for its ability to reduce inflammation and helps resist aging. Due to its anti-inflammatory properties, it has long been considered an extremely efficient remedy for maintaining the heart functioning.

EPA, GLA and oleic acids are the most important fatty acids in the body and play a significant role in the development of the brain. EPA is the basis for prostaglandins, which control blood clotting and other arterial functions. Besides, omega-3 fatty acids contribute to a significant decrease in the level of triglycerides and increase the content of good HDL-cholesterol.

Together, these compounds influence efficiently the health of the heart, brain tissues, digestive and immune systems. In addition, a recent study has proven that cod liver oil has additional healing properties and helps reduce the risk of developing cancer.

Since the average American diet doesn’t contain enough fresh fish and other seafood with EPA and GLA, nowadays, many therapists recommend eating cod liver oil regularly.
