Description

L-citrulline is a nonessential amino acid, a micronutrient that the body typically cannot produce in sufficient quantities during heavy exercise, so may need to be supplemented. If we talk about fruits, citrulline is found in large quantities in watermelon, for example. A synergistic combination of the amino acid L-citrulline and malic acid is L-citrulline malate. Malic acid (malate) is an organic acid that is widely distributed in nature (for example, in many fruits). The amino acid L-citrulline is a precursor to the amino acids L-arginine and L-ornithine.
